MCCIA and MoFPI Host Successful Regional Industry Meet, Unlocking Growth Opportunities in the Food Processing Sector

Key Highlights of the Evening:

High-Level Dialogue: The event provided a rare opportunity for industry players to interact with Mr. Sandip Kote (Director at MoFPI), fostering a direct channel of communication between the industry and the government.

Government Schemes in Focus: Attendees received firsthand information about the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, a flagship initiative by the MoFPI to support micro-enterprises in the food processing sector. Mr. Amol Chidrawar , State Lead for PMFME in Maharashtra, elaborated on the scheme's benefits and application process.

Spotlight on World Food India 2025: Mr. Siddharth Dutta , FICCI representative and Consultant for Food Processing at FICCI, presented a comprehensive overview of the upcoming World Food India 2025. This mega event is poised to be a global platform for showcasing India's Agriculture produce and food processing prowess and attracting international investments.

Networking and Collaboration: The meet facilitated a vibrant networking environment, where entrepreneurs and business leaders connected with policymakers and industry experts. The discussions highlighted a huge opportunity for collaboration and co-creation within the sector.

The event was chaired by Mr. Prashant Girbane , Director General of MCCIA, who emphasized the chamber's commitment to fostering a conducive ecosystem for industrial growth. Mr. Anand Chordia , Director of Technology and Innovation at Suhana Masale and Chairman of the MCCIA Food Processing Committee, shared his insights on the industry's future trajectory. The chief guest for the evening was Mr. Sandip Kote, Director at MoFPI, who addressed the gathering and reiterated the government's support for the food processing industry.
